TLOW diary | Week 1 – Assam & Meghalaya

February 2017

This happened to be my first backpacking trip as well as my first solo trip. The trip was so amazing that I never felt any difficulty in terms of backpacking. I got to make some great friends.

Each and every day had something memorable to take back home. From the wilderness experience in Kaziranga to the authentic bamboo huts in Majuli, the serene ferry ride to Majuli rider island to the picturesque drive along the road trip in Meghalaya, I was awestruck.

Words would fall short to describe the beauty of Dawki. The peace and tranquility you felt over there was unexplainable. I got to visit some of the known places in Meghalaya and Assam like the living root bridge and Mawsmai Caves as well as exotic places. This is definitely one of the must visit places in Meghalaya.

The flexibility to amend the schedule made the trip more worthwhile and when it come to our trip organizer, Sherwin there were a few things that make tlow stand apart.  He makes sure he interacts with everyone and takes feedback about the trip, their past travel experience and get to know them.

Be it a solo traveller or part of a pack you will never feel left out. I guess once you come for a tlow trip you become a part of the tlow clan.

So to cut a long story short, in my trip experience I got to know the following:

-> It is extremely safe for a solo female traveller.

->Research a bit, if you find something interesting, let Sherwin know, it will definitely be considered.

->Your comfort level will always be taken into account.

-> The trip will be surely worth your time and money.

I look forward to take many such trips with tlow.  I would high recommend you to take a trip with tlow, so that you can probably cover some beautiful bit of the earth before the earth covers you #tlow
