TLOW diary | Week 4 – Assam & Meghalaya
There is a first time between your fear and your journey of freedom and I found The Land Of Wanderlust to leave behind my fear and doubt to ignite the wanderlust in me.
How I found tlow
One fine day when, I was finally done with all the stupid anxiety and fear, I searched for a backpacking trip in India and It was love at first sight after looking at the tlow blueprint.
I was a bit worried about the safety, the ultimate reason for which girls hesitate to travel in India, but after having a look at multiple pictures and videos on their social media handles I signed up without a second thought.
About the trip experience
This trip gave me the feel of complete disconnection from my known world to another higher unknown world from the very beginning. Even though it was a group trip, the trip gives you space to be in your own world. It left me with enough time to introspect the inside and outside world. All this is because it was well organised which makes you carefree.
The Kaziranga home stays, the whole Majuli experience, the bamboo huts, ethnic food, to the boat ride were all a unique experience with a tribal culture.
Then Shillong, Dawki River, Cherrapunji especially the waterfalls, were out of the world experience. Thanks tlow for making my first ever solo trip a unique experience by taking the road less traveled.
-> Friends with similar mindsets, I found it very easy to gel with them.
-> Takes you to another world.
-> Gives you a very unique experience with the local area and people.
-> The trip will definitely throw away all your fear, if you have any related to travel.
A big thanks to Sherwin, you are a kind of Samaritan for all the sleeping wanderlust out there. May your innate passion take you to a higher level.
Finally my journey to the land of wanderlust begins here 🙂
